How does the background remover work?
The background remover uses an image segmentation model that runs directly in your browser. It automatically detects the main subject and removes the surrounding background. You can then use the erase and restore brushes with adjustable size, opacity and feathering to manually refine any areas the automatic detection missed.
What image formats are supported?
Filesmith supports JPG, PNG, WEBP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, TIFF, SVG and PDF. You can open images in any of these formats and export to any other supported format after editing.
Can I edit multiple images at once?
Yes. Drop multiple images at once and switch between them in the sidebar. You can edit each one individually and then batch-download all of them in your chosen format.
